Front and side views of a small sample of heavy water enclosed in a 5 cm cube of acrylic. The heavy water was produced by the Combined Industrial Reforming and Catalytic Exchange (CIRCE) process. This process was developed by AECL and a pilot plant was put into operation in Hamilton Ontario.
