Description

A Zeiss Jena Amplival polarizing microscope. This polarizing  microscope was used by AECL, and later CNL, personnel to obtain qualitative and quantitative analysis of  the materials extracted in drill cores from various sites under consideration for an underground repository for high level nuclear wastes.
