Description

A framed, 29 cm by 37 cm, colour photograph of the Nuclear Power Demonstration (NPD) reactor as well as the Nuclear training Center at Rolphton Ontario.  The reactor, which produced the first nuclear-generated electricity, was rated at 25 MW.  The training center served to train many of the first technical operators for the Douglas Point and Pickering generating stations.  The reactor was shut down in 1987.
