Description

A red and purple, ceremonial gown worn by W.B. Lewis at the 21 May 1975 University of Victoria Convocation when he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree.  The Convocation Program was also donated with the gown.  Dr. Petch’s introduction of Dr. Lewis is highlighted.

This was one of numerous items found in the former home of W.B. Lewis in Deep River following his death.  The new owner of the home donated them to the W.B. Lewis Library which in turn, several years later, donated them to the Society.
