Description

An Eberline Model RM-19 radiation monitor.  This model of monitor has been used in a wide range of industrial applications.  This particular unit was used with the SLOWPOKE reactor at the Saskatchewan Research Council.  The monitor is 23 cm wide, 15 high and 23 cm deep.  The PG-2 low-energy gamma detector consists of a thin (2 mm thick) NaI(Tl ) scintillation crystal 5 cm in diameter. The probe housing the detector is 20 cm long and 8 cm in diameter. It has a strong metal screen to protect the detector. The detector and probe were manufactured by the Eberline Instrument Company of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
