Description

The certificate of the Honorary Doctor of Science degree awarded to W.B. Lewis by Queen’s University, Kingston, ON, on 21 May, 1960.  Also included with the certificate was a copy of the introduction of Dr. Lewis by the Vice-Principal of the Faculty of Applied Science to the Vice-Chancellor of Queen’s who then awarded the degree.

Notes:

This was one of numerous items found in the former home of W.B. Lewis in Deep River following his death.  The new owner of the home donated them to the W.B. Lewis Library which in turn, several years later, donated them to the Society.
