Directly below the center of the photo are the letters CAPD. This refers to Canadian General Electric’s “Civilian Atomic Power Development”. A Canadian Nuclear Society collection of historic photos has been located that also displays this photo. It is unknown if the group was located at Chalk River or Peterborough at the time the photograph was taken.
