Canadian General Electric (CGE) were awarded the contract to fabricate 19000 fuel bundles for the Pickering Generating Station. To commemorate the contract CGE presented AECL with a fuel bundle mounted on a 25 cm by 65 cm wooden base. The presentation was made at Sheridan Park sometime in the early 1960s. The base continued to sit neglected at the facility but the disposition of the fuel bundle is unknown. It is also not known if the fuel bundle contained uranium or not.
