A model of the “atom” marker installed at the entrance to Deep River to commemorate the 50th year of the town’s founding. This model, which stands 25 cm tall and sits on a 23 cm by 15 cm base, was given to Les Haywood on his retirement from AECL. The label on the model indicates that the upper layer of the base was constructed using low-activity uranium ore from Blind River ON.
