A Nikon Model SMZ-2T stereomicroscope. This microscope was used by AECL personnel studying the drill core samples extracted from various sites under consideration for a underground repository for high-level nuclear wastes. The unit was also used to examine deposits at the Underground Research Laboratory at Whiteshell.
