Slice of CANDU zirconium-niobium pressure tube

Description

An 8 mm long cut-off slice from a CANDU pressure tube.  The pressure tubes used on CANDUs after Douglas Point all have a nominal 103 mm I.D. and 4 mm wall thickness.  This particular end cut has an stamped inscription reading “W1105-135”, the meaning of which is unclear at the time of cataloguing. The material is Zr-2.5Nb.
