A 39 cm by 49 cm, hardboard-backed illustration of a SLOWPOKE-3 reactor installed in a remote location. The SLOWPOKE-3 series was designed to have thermal output of 2-10 MW. The version illustrated here is rated at 2 MW. A test version also called the SLOWPOKE SDR (SLOWPOKE Demonstration Reactor) was constructed and tested extensively at the Whiteshell Laboratories of AECL.
